2010: A Breakthrough Year For Your Business?

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably bored of the ‘recession’ by now.  Yes, it’s tough out there. But people are making real strides in growing their business, despite what the papers say.  And you’d like to join them.

Just one problem:  where do you start?

Let’s face it – marketing is overwhelming at the best of times.  Dozens of things you could be doing, none of which are guaranteed to give you a result.  It’s too easy to end up feeling like you’re spinning your wheels, going nowhere fast.

I know how frustrating that is. So to help you overcome it, I’ve put this ‘Marketing Action Plan’ workshop together to help you get 2010 off to the right start.

Here’s what I’ve got

During the workshop, I’ll guide you through creating an action plan to kickstart your business marketing in 2010.

In less than 3 hours, you’ll have created an easy-to-follow action plan that you can take away and use immediately to start getting more customers for your business.

(What I won’t do is give you a bunch of ideas for you to think ‘that’s nice’ and go home and forget about. This is all real, actionable stuff.)

You’ll also get a template plan to fill in as we go along and take away, to make what you learn as straightforward as possible for you to use.

Here’s what it will do for you

During the workshop, you’ll create a 5-part marketing plan, covering the following areas:

90 Minute Marketing Plan

1.      You – What’s your current situation? What's holding you back? (specifically - what don't you know about that's holding you back?)

2.      Your clients -Which clients should you be working with? How do you find them?

3.      Your offering -  What’s special about it?  Why are you different (and better)?

4.      Your marketing ‘funnel’ – how to make sure you continuously attract new prospects.

5.     Your marketing activities – which ones to choose?
How do you make sure they’re working for you?

We’ll also cover the following:

  • Creating a killer elevator pitch for your business.  One that your prospects pay attention to.
  • Your Unique Selling Point.  Possibly the most confusing thing in marketing.  Most people just say “quality, reliability, service or price”.  Do you want to sound like most people?  Thought not.
  • How much does your marketing really cost you? (hint: it’s probably more than you think). More importantly, how to ensure you get the best possible return for the time and money you invest in marketing
  • Choosing the best clients for your business.  If you’re currently selling to “anyone who’ll buy”, chances are you’re working much harder than you need to be. And making less money than you could be too.
  • How to get more referrals – and who in your network is best placed to give them to you
  • Why networking could be the most expensive form of marketing for your business  (but why it’s still worth doing, if you do it right)
  • Avoiding “feast and famine” syndrome.  I’ve been there. Full diary one month. Empty one the next.  Not fun.
  • How to choose which marketing activities (including SEO, Social Networking, Advertising, Cold Calling, Emails, Referrals, Seminars, Blogging, Video, PR or Direct Mail)  are right for your business.

What previous attendees have said

"Iain Gray's workshop  was an eye-opener. It gave a comprehensive yet simple insight into the objectives of a successful plan and the actions required. Iain knows his stuff!"

“If you get the opportunity to attend one of Iain's workshops then go!! I found the workshop to be enjoyable and highly informative, there was plenty of interaction with the participants - which I believe allowed all participants to "take something away". Integrity is important for me and this came through in Iain's presentation.”

- David Lewis
